Belton Regional Medical Center will expand to accommodate the increased volume of patients entering its doors.
The 71-bed hospital and Level III trauma center, which serves patients in Jackson and Cass counties, will add an operating room to an existing suite and equip a second critical-care and trauma room. The expansion also will feature a pneumatic tube, used to send lab specimens and medication to key locations in the hospital.
“This expansion recognizes our commitment to and investment in the community’s health and well-being, ensuring an even higher level of care and service,” Belton Regional CEO Todd Krass said. “With the leadership of our physicians, nurses and staff, we are continually elevating a seamless experience for patients and their families, which aligns with our mission of high-quality healthcare in all areas.
Belton Regional Medical Center reported record patient visits to its ER last year. The existing suite, consisting of three large operating rooms, was unveiled two years ago. The acute-care hospital is a member of HCA Midwest Health, which maintains seven hospitals in the metro area. —
